This role of Deputy Manager / Clinical Lead is based within a residential Substance Misuse Specialist Detox and Rehab Treatment facility. A specialist treatment programme of detox and rehabilitation is designed for people seeking help with Alcohol or Drug dependency problems. We provide a structured and comprehensive Drug and Alcohol treatment programme in a private, peaceful and supportive environment with the help of our specialist clinical and therapeutic team.

Job Purpose

To provide Clinical Leadership to Nursing Staff within the rehabilitation unit.

As Deputy Manager provide leadership and management to all staff within the unit.

Act/Operate on behalf of the Unit Manager as designated.

Ensure safe clinical practice is maintained within the unit reflecting NICE Guidelines and CQC Core Standards and Key Lines of Enquiry.

Ensure staff are clinically competent to undertake role.

Ensure staff supervision/personal development reviews are undertaken reflecting the units policies and procedures.

To support the unit manager and multidisciplinary team working within the unit.

The post holder will support the multi-disciplinary team in the social assessment of specialist and complex care needs of individuals, and advice on the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.

To effectively manage resources both human and financial to ensure the workforce has the necessary skills to provide a high quality, efficient person centred service.

 

Professional Responsibilities

Identify individual training needs for self and clinical staff through review and development with the scope of professional practice.

Maintain and develop professional and personal skills/knowledge/ attitudes in relation to post registration, education and practice.

Ensure appearance, attitude and behaviour is appropriate to Care Plus Group policies and procedures.

Ensure professional competencies/specialist areas of interest are maintained in line with NMC requirements.
