Senior In-House Legal Counsel – R&D Lawyer
Position based in Dublin

Position Purpose

The role will focus on the legal support of our R&D activity, covering the whole spectrum of the pre-clinical

and clinical trial process, as well as outsourcing and R&D collaborations.

Responsibilities will involve the

provision of legal advice on an international level. The successful candidate will have a positive and

flexible approach to his/her work and already have a solid understanding of issues relating to the conduct

of international clinical trials and interest for the R&D environment.

The role would be reporting to the General Counsel Europe, and the scope of work would be international.

Providing in-house legal service and solutions to the European affiliates of Mylan group in the area of

research and development in the pharmaceutical industry, in particular with respect to clinical trials in


As legal expert you will manage all relevant legal work, in particular the review, drafting, and negotiating
agreements in the field of R&D and clinical trials.

Ensuring company compliance with legal policies, laws and regulations
Identifying and monitor any potential legal issues related to proposed business practices and policies

Advise clients on a broad array of issues relating to pharmaceutical regulations and product development.

Advise R&D on recent developments in risk management requirements.

healthcare. Here are the minimum qualifications and essential functions for this position:

Irish or UK qualified lawyer background with at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience gained in the
legal department of an international law firm or an industrial company.

Solid experience and expertise in the field of clinical trials in the pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry,
a strong commercial background and strong skills in the areas of contract drafting and negotiating of
international contracts.

A high level of business acumen combined with strong analytical skills and are able to work well under
pressure meeting tight deadlines.

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders from
different cultural backgrounds at all levels. The ideal candidate would have management experience.

Management experience is a must

Fluency in English is a must. Further languages skills would be beneficial, but are not a must.
