Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Education, Health and Care Plan Coordinator to work in Hackney. This position is initially for 6 months and is paying £19.93 per hour.

The role:

  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the notification, statutory assessment and review process for children and young people with special educational needs within statutory timescales and in line with appropriate legislation and Hackney Learning Trust Policy and Procedure (including writing and issuing Education, Health and Care Plans and reports for SEND Tribunal).
  • To develop procedures and systems to implement Hackney Learning Trust’s statutory duties with regard to children and young people with SEND.
  • To interpret legislation, national best practice and local policy in order to provide high quality guidance and advice to parents, settings and other agencies to assist in raising the achievement of children and young people with SEND in Hackney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will support in the securing of appropriate provision for the child or young person in line with the SEND Regulations and ensure decisions on placement are taken in the context of available budgets and equality issues.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Current DBS check.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
