Seven Education is looking for an Educational Psychologist to work as a permanent member of staff within an established organisation in the Midlands.

The role:

The position is within a large, dynamic and creative team made up of practitioners with range of experience and interests. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, dynamic Educational Psychologists to the following posts to join our fantastic team and make a difference to children and young people in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

We welcome applications from current Year 3 trainees who will be qualified by September 2019.

Applicants must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), or, in the case of trainee EP’s, expect to be eligible for registration on completion of their recognised training course

The Educational Psychology Team plays an important role across one of the largest unitary authorities in the country, with all the opportunities that brings. The team is extremely well-regarded within the authority and intrinsically involved in Children and Families strategic development.

Our service is delivered with a consultation focus, working collaboratively with young people, families and professionals to bring about psychological change. In addition to casework we have a thriving traded service delivering training, project work, and other innovative approaches to schools and communities in the city. We regularly act as consultants for practice includes national initiatives and evidence-based training and interventions, we also offer bespoke packages for service users.

We are one centrally based team working through a cluster service delivery model that encourages collaboration and joint working, multi-agency working, consultation and problem solving. We offer an ethical traded service to settings and other agencies to further increase capacity.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Educational Psychologist and on the HCPC register
  • Experience: Some formal office experience is required for most jobs and previous experience in public sector administration can increase your chances of getting a job.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK.
  • Travel: UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w. (part time working negotiable)
  • Salary scale: Soulbury A 2-7 Plus SPA (previously awarded SPA points will be honoured)
