Seven Education are looking for a temporary Learning and Development Officer to work with Durham County Council. This position is initially on a rolling contract and will involve working 1.5 days per week. The hourly rate is from £12.20 – £15.26 (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

The Learning & Development Officer is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of training / development programmes, producing Scheme of Work, Lesson Plans and resources as required. Delivering high quality training and development programmes against identified targets – enabling learners to maximise their individual potential to support the team in the delivery of external contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

      Teach designated hours, with a flexible approach to delivering across curriculum areas as needed to fulfil learner/employer and contractual requirements.

Undertake the design and delivery of effective training and development programmes.

Prepare schemes of work and session plans with appropriate resources and course materials.

Undertake initial interview and assessment to determine learners’ current level of competence resulting in the preparation of appropriate training and development materials.

Monitor the progress of individual learners – providing appropriate levels of guidance and support – ensuring purposeful and effective training programmes are maintained.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Possess a recognised training / teaching qualification, e.g. City & Guilds 7307, 7407, Cert Ed, or appropriate professional qualification and relevant experience.
  • Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate experience in a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 1.5 days per week.
