Seven Resourcing are looking for a locum Educational Psychologist to work with Derby City Council. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £500.00 – £600.00 per day (IR35 status unknown at this stage)

The role:

Through work as an educational psychologist to implement the policies and statutory duties of the Authority.

To provide for the public, for staff, for schools and for the Authority, a range of psychological services aimed to: develop good practice, prevent learning difficulties, meet special educational needs and resolve problems that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

      Contribute to the development and dissemination of good practice through the application of psychological knowledge and techniques.

Provide psychological and educational assessments and advice, both statutory and non-statutory, on individual needs in their context in accordance with the Authority’s procedures and valid professional practice. This will include, as appropriate, collation of data, observation and interview both structured and non-structured, analysis of progress over time and the use of standard assessment techniques.

Undertake casework as needed for people within assigned part of the community to ensure that children, families and adults, and those services and agencies supporting them receive appropriate information, advice and assistance.

Provide advice and reports, both statutory and non-statutory, on individuals and other matters to the Authority and other agencies as required.

 

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: University Degree at grade 2:2 or above.
  • Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate experience as an Educational Psychologist in the UK.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. HCPC registration.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 2 – 5 days per week.
