Seven Resourcing are currently looking for a temporary SEND Business Support Officer to work in Hackney. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and will be paying £15.32 via an umbrella company.
The SEND Business Support Officer role is part of the SEND Business Support Team. The purpose of the team is to coordinate and provide comprehensive and professional administrative and operational support for teams across the SEND Service. The role is multi-skilled to provide excellent customer service, acting as the first point of contact to enquiries to SEND Services and delivering effective and efficient operational support. The SEND Business Support Team supports SEND Service teams to perform their duties effectively and efficiently. The role may support service area projects and key statutory processes and activity such as Education, Health and Care Planning and SEND legal compliance and tribunals. The post holder may be delegated a lead role and given responsibility for coordination and delivery of specific tasks or processes within the team remit.
- To act as first contact point for enquiries (some which may be complex and/or contentious) from other staff, members of the public, representatives of outside organisations, agencies etc. Giving relevant information and dealing with queries where possible and where not possible, to direct people to the person they need to speak to.
To contact and liaise with other sections/services to make enquiries or relay relevant/sensitive information.
To learn about local resources, facilities and sources of support available to families and engage and communicate regularly and effectively with other agencies and professionals to support timely referrals for children and access to services.
To keep abreast of changes in relevant legislation and statutory guidance, ensuring compliance with national and local policy.
- Qualifications: N/A.
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Current DBS check.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
