Seven Education are looking for a temporary Specialist Support Teacher to work with SENISS service in Liverpool. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying from £31.00 – £38.63 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company). The role will involve working 13 hours per week.

The role:

To support the Local Authority’s SEND Strategy and Policy on Inclusion by assisting schools and settings to become more inclusive, raising the achievements and attainment of pupils with SEND and helping schools and settings to support children and young people holistically. To become part of a multi-disciplinary team to support pupils. To work within consortia as part of the Team Around the School. To work as part of the consortia supporting and advising primary schools and early years settings. To support, assess and/or teach pupils with SEND including children with EHCP’s, across key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

      To work as part of a team around the school to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils with SEND.

To work in early years settings, maintained schools, academies and free schools. Specific responsibilities include teaching, assessing, advising and training.

To work, on behalf of the Local Authority, supporting pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plans in Mainstream schools.

To provide advice and reports to the SEND services of LCC as requested.

To provide high quality, specialist, written reports to settings and parents as requested.

To liaise with SENDCO’s, Headteachers, setting managers and external agencies/voluntary organisations and parents, as appropriate, for termly/annual review meetings, team around the school meetings, EHAT, transition and provision planning meetings and through the schools consortia model.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: University Degree at grade 2:2 or above.
  • Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate experience as a Teacher in the UK.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 13 hours p/w.
