Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Training Development Officer to work with Cardiff Council’s Social Care department. This role is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying between £17.04 – £21.32 per hour.

The role:

To develop, co-ordinate and support practice learning arrangements for professional social work training and to promote and facilitate the achievement of post-qualifying awards and CPEL.

Key Responsibilities:

      To support the Workforce Development and Training Manager in the implementation of the Social Care Workforce Development Plan as it relates to Adult Services and Children’s Services (Social Care and Health Group)

To co-ordinate arrangements for practice teaching within the Social Care and Health Group.

To identify, train and support practice teachers and to provide support and guidance to students on placement.

To co-ordinate arrangements for employees, who are seconded to undertake professional social work training.

To work with colleagues, together with those in the Independent and Voluntary Sectors and with Higher Education Providers to establish and maintain a local Practice Learning Partnership for the provision of all practice learning opportunities within Cardiff.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: N/A.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Current DBS check.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
