Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Virtual School Lead Advisory Teacher to work with Waltham Forest Council. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £160.00 – £240.00 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

This is a dynamic role and requires an innovative approach to delivering the service going forward. The successful applicant will lead on monitoring, tracking and intervention to raise attainment and progress for Waltham Forest’s children in care and vulnerable children. You will work as part of an integrated approach with social care and partners in other services and the community. The successful applicant will report to the Virtual School Headteacher and will be responsible for the line management of a small team of Education Advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the lead professional – manage a small team of advisors undertaking direct work with children, young adults and carers in order to maximise their educational attainment and future life chances. Make operational decisions and prioritise work, taking account the needs and views of children and young adults and their carer’s views.
  • Closely monitor individual children’s progress, attendance and behaviour and plan, deliver and evaluate appropriate interventions.
  • Organise and deliver services within a specialist area to meet established operational targets.
  • Provide specialist, expert advice, guidance and support to colleagues, service users and partner agencies. Manage, interpret and resolve escalated complex queries and issues within the specialist area.
  • Proactively identify areas of potential concern.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: University Degree at grade 2:2 or above.
  • Experience: 4+ year of post-graduate experience as a Teacher in the UK.
  • Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. QTS gained from an ITT programme.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 36 hours p/w.
