Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Environmental Health Officer to work with Neath Port Talbot Council. This position was initially for a period of 2 months and is paying £35.00 – £44.00 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).

The role:

To assist the Environmental Health and Trading Standards Manager in the cost effective and efficient delivery of the Environmental Health functions.

Key Responsibilities:

      To contribute to the development and the achievement of business plan and action plan targets.

To contribute to the development and review of work instructions and quality procedures for the team/service

To develop and deliver awareness raising and promotional activities relevant to health and well being.

To carry out investigations of infectious disease outbreaks as required.

To collate and report on information obtained from inspections, investigations, monitoring and sampling in line with the service’s Enforcement Policy or operational procedures.

To specialise in and take the lead or coordinating role in an area of work as determined by the Team Leader or Environmental Health and Trading Standards Manager

To contribute to committee reports and to attend council meetings as required, in the absence of the Managers or the Team Leader.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: The officers will need to be qualified EHO’s with food hygiene inspection experience and registered with the Environmental Health registration Board (EHORB)
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
