Seven Healthcare is looking for an Clinic Based Occupational Therapist (Band 7) to fill an exclusive opportunity in the Surbiton area.

The role:

We provide individualised treatment to children in our clinic, schools or their homes. The role will include a mix of clinic-based assessment and treatment in our specialist SI clinic in Surbiton as well as in the community at schools and home.

Key Responsibilities:

      To be responsible as an autonomous practitioner to undertake a comprehensive clinical caseload.

Well established knowledge of a broad range of assessment tools relevant to the specialist client group

To undertake assessments of children of all ages and complexity, using both standardised and informal assessment tools.

To demonstrate skilled clinical reasoning and ability to interpret assessment data and write clinical assessment reports within practice time frames.

To devise child/family centered treatment plans write SMART treatment goals, considering a wide range of treatment techniques.

Knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions and an ability to compare and contrast relative benefits and outcomes

Knowledge and application of professional standards and code of conduct

Ability to communicate with all members of the multi-disciplinary team

High levels of clinical record keeping

Knowledge of working in schools and providing in-school therapy services

Advanced clinical skills using a variety of treatment approaches

 

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: Recognised Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy

Experience: Respect the confidentiality and privacy of patients and staff at all time – Health and Safety.

To comply with all aspects of the health and safety policies and to participate in mandatory training as required.

Maintain at all times a safe working environment and report any issues of concern as appropriate.

Compliance:

      HCPC Registration.

Full clean enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)

Evidence of Sensory Integration Training at post graduate level

Experience in using a Sensory Integration treatment approach

Travel: To travel to and from the location independently.

Hours: 2-3 days a week.
