A phlebotomist is probably one of the lesser known roles in healthcare, but it’s certainly no less important than any of the rest. A phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, so you’re likely to find yourself working with babies, adults and older people with a diverse range of conditions. Once the samples have been collected, the phlebotomist is then responsible for labelling the samples and sending them off for analysis.
