Self-Employed MSK Physiotherapist

Location: London Wall  |  Greater London  |  England
Sector: Health Care
Consultant: Sophie Wood
Job Reference: 36327
Salary:
Job Status: Permanent / part time

Seven Healthcare is looking for an Self Employed MSK Physiotherapist to fill an exclusive opportunity in the East London area.

The role:

As a MSK Physiotherapist, you will assess and treat patients who have any injury, disease or problem that relates to muscles, bones, joints and peripheral nerves. They may also provide advice to help you manage your condition or refer you to other services.

Vital skills and attributes

Physiotherapy qualifications: You should have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Physiotherapy. All our existing clinical staff have postgraduate degrees. Our clients are high-end and intelligent, and we spend a lot of time and effort communicating with them (in both written and spoken form) and discussing health research. You will also need at least 8 years’ experience of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and be confident with complex cases, as many of our patients will have seen multiple other therapists before they find us.

Good hands: we do a lot of manual therapy, so your hands-on skills need to be on point.

Solid clinical reasoning: we take a lot of time to listen, hypothesise, test and explain our theories to our clients. People are more likely to do their exercise “homework” if they understand why they are doing it.

Good communication: you will be talking with and listening to my clients, who are VERY important to me. You must be comfortable conversing in-person and on the phone and know how to conduct yourself professionally, and deliver clear explanations and instructions to the clients. I’ll teach you everything you need to do during a treatment session, but I can’t teach you manners and professionalism.

People skills and personality: you must LOVE working with people! Getting mended can be a interesting and exciting process, and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them.

Networking skills: we network with our consultants and allied healthcare colleagues regularly, partly because it reminds them of our existence and it’s how we get most of our referrals; but also because – should our patients need anything we don’t offer, whether that’s a hip replacement, an MRI or a reformer Pilates instructor – we want them to trust us to know the best options for them.

Bonus qualifications

Training in the Integrated Systems Model or ConnectTherapy system developed by Diane Lee and LJ Lee – these models underpin the way we work at Victory, so prior understanding is a bonus. If you have not studied one of these models, you do need to be open to doing so soon.

Training in mat-based Pilates – we currently have no trained Pilates teacher, and it’s something we’ve found useful.

Terms & Conditions

The role would initially be part-time, but potentially increasing to as close to full time as you wish, depending on your ability to build your caseload with our help.

Salary is commission based, so the more patients you help, the more you’ll take home.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.

Evidence of Post Graduate training.

Experience: Respect the confidentiality and privacy of patients and staff at all time – Health and Safety.

To comply with all aspects of the health and safety policies and to participate in mandatory training as required.

Maintain at all times a safe working environment and report any issues of concern as appropriate.

Compliance: HCPC Registration. CSP Registration.

Travel: To be able to commute to and from work independently.
