Seven Health and Social Care is looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the dysphagia in Woking, Surrey. This is temporary role initially until the end of July and the hourly rate is £23 – £26 per hour depending on experience.

The role:

The team are an Adult Community SLT team looking for an experienced locum to support them with there dysphagia and communication service. The team provide home-visits and out-patient assessment and intervention to adults with neurological conditions resulting in communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist with the required clinical knowledge and skills to work independently with patients, many of whom have complex communication and swallowing difficulties. A minimum of 12 months experience with adults with acquired neurological disorders is essential. Experience of community working is preferred.

The service has excellent working relationships with local acute and community services and is strongly committed to delivering high quality care. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge and will have access to a range of continuing professional development activities in line with agreed personal and team objectives.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working as an SLT.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
