Commissioning Monitoring Officer – Wakefield

Seven Social Care is looking for a Commision Monitoring Officer an exclusive opportunity in Wakefield.

The role:

o work within Wakefield Council Adult social Care Commissioning team and to support with the monitoring and evaluation of the Department’s Adult Social Care contractual and funding agreements covering a diverse range of service areas and service users groups and to support the Care and Support commissioning Team Provider Hub set up in response to the Covid 19 pandemic. This will involve managing the inbox, overseeing Government Grant distribution and recording and other funding streams. Monitoring the Capacity Tracker and contacting providers re updates and supporting Providers with completion of this. Providing advice to Providers re any changes to guidance on Infection Control and testing procedures for care homes and community providers. The individual will be both office and home based and should have good communication skills and ability to use excel to a good standard.

Key Responsibilities:

To prepare and present appropriate reports regarding contract monitoring and evaluations.

To undertake regular provider meetings to monitor and review service activity ensuring that effective and efficient services are commissioned.

To assist in the future development of contracts and service specifications and funding agreements in consultation with relevant stakeholders

To investigate complaints in respect of contracting issues and Safeguarding processes.

To assist in the interpretation of new legislation, Government Circulars and guidance relating to contractual issues and assist in the development of policies and procedures.

To assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the computerised information systems, in respect of contract monitoring/compliance processes.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
