Housing Support Worker

Seven Social Care are looking for a Housing Support Worker in Gateshead currently. This contract is initially required for 4 months and likely to be extended upon this.

The role:

Successful applicants will be deployed in the Community Hubs which are providing help and support to Gateshead residents affecting by the Covid-19 pandemic, applicants will be required to work closely with community partners, problem solve and think creatively to ensure residents receive the help required.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable residents, assisting with issues around finances, health, housing, life skills, personal safety, legal issues, substance misuse, children, employment, training and education

To use effective risk assessment tools to identify risks and undertake appropriate actions.

To undertake practical support with young people to reduce the risk of homelessness and promote sustainable independent living.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: N/A
• Experience: 2+ years working in a similar role.
• Compliance: Up to date DBS.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
