Non Medical Prescriber

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Non-Medical Prescriber to join our dynamic team in Lowestoft, UK. The Non-Medical Prescriber will play an essential role in extending the delivery of health services in our community.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform patient assessments for both acute and chronic illnesses.

2. Possess the independent authority and competence to prescribe medications within their area of competence.

3. Develop patient management plans, and monitor treatment outcomes.

4. Conduct consultations with patients in agreement with protocols and best practice guidelines.

5. Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, nurses, social workers) to ensure a seamless, cohesive approach to patient care.

6. Promote wellness through patient education and evidence-based best practices.

7. Regularly update patient medication records.

8. Undertake regular self-audits and participate in quality improvement activities to maintain and improve high standards of prescribing.

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nursing qualification with active NMC registration or equivalent.

2. V300 Independent Prescriber Qualification.

3. Up-to-date clinical skills in the assessment and management of common health conditions.

4. Proof of continued professional development.

5. Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.

6. Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and ethical guidelines related to prescribing.

7. Experience in a similar role is preferred.
