Prison Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our team at a prison facility in Garth, UK. This key role involves delivering outstanding nursing care to incarcerated individuals, and aids in providing a safe, secure and supportive environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provision of clinical health and care to inmates, including regular consultations and emergency responses.

2. Conduct inmate health screenings and physical examinations.

3. Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.

4. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor the effects of the medication.

5. Maintain accurate health record of patients.

6. Liaise with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate health care services are provided.

7. Educate inmates on health, nutrition, and preventive care.

8. Promptly respond to emergencies and provide first aid care.

9. Adhere to policies and procedures while meeting legal and ethical nursing guidelines.

Qualifications:

1. Valid NMC Registered Nurse Qualification.

2. Previous nursing experience, preferably within a prison, forensics, or crisis care setting.

3. Proven experience in diagnosis, treatments and clinical procedures.

4. Proficient in managing emergency situations and high-stress scenarios.

5. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.

6. Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures.

7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and professionalism at all times.

8. Successfully pass background check and security clearance.
