Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are currently in search of a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team based in Ashford. This is an optimal opportunity for individuals who have an unwavering interest in helping others navigate their path towards recovery.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Engage with and assist individuals suffering from mental health issues, substance abuse, and other related problems on their recovery journey.
2. Facilitate individual and group counselling sessions to guide service users towards positive change.
3. Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals including nurses, psychiatrists, and social workers.
4. Develop personalised recovery plans, monitor progress, and adapt these plans as needed.
5. Provide emotional support and motivate clients during their recovery process.
6. Handle crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.
7. Liaise with families, caregivers and community services for additional support.
8. Document and maintain confidential records of clients’ progress and services provided.
9. Complete necessary administrative tasks and report writing as required.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
1. Relevant experience in mental health, substance abuse recovery, or social care is strongly preferred.
2. Ability to work with empathy and understanding while maintaining professional boundaries.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counselling skills.
4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. Solid understanding of confidentiality requirements for sensitive data.
6. Proven ability to manage stressful situations.
7. Must be flexible as the job may require working on weekends, evenings, and on-call services.
