Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to assist clients in their journey towards mental health and wellness. Based in Liverpool, this role involves direct client interaction, care coordination, and contributing to a supportive environment conducive to recovery.
Responsibilities:
1. Engage with clients, identifying their needs and offering support for their personal recovery journey.
2. Develop personalized recovery plans based on individual client needs and preferences.
3. Provide practical assistance to clients in various aspects such as housing, job searching, and improving personal skills.
4. Help clients access other services and networks within the community, such as therapists, doctors and social workers.
5. Advocate for the client’s needs and rights, working across different services and sectors.
6. Organize and facilitate group sessions/activities to encourage clients’ social interaction and well-being.
7. Document the clients’ progress and uphold confidentiality and privacy standards.
8. Provide support and advice to clients’ families and foster a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the fields of mental health, social work, or counseling.
2. Minimum qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social care or related field.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Strong understanding of the needs and rights of people dealing with mental health issues.
5. Ability to work flexibly, as this role may include occasional evenings and weekends.
6. Knowledge of relevant local resources and services is desirable.
