Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing counselling, guidance, and support to individuals who are struggling with different types of addiction, helping them to regain control of their lives.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct intake assessments to determine individuals’ needs and develop a treatment plan accordingly.

2. Provide crisis intervention and implement strategies to help individuals cope with their issues.

3. Deliver direct one-to-one or group-based support, aiding in recovery from different forms of addiction.

4. Encourage positive behaviour changes and promote mental wellness.

5. Facilitate educational sessions and workshops on substance misuse and mental health.

6. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient data and information, adhering to protocols and regulations.

7. Liaising with other healthcare professionals, support workers, and social services.

8. Document and submit reports related to patients’ progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. A degree or diploma in counselling, psychology, or a related field.

2. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

3. Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills.

4. A compassionate and patient approach, with the confidence to deal with challenging situations.

5. An understanding of the issues faced by individuals with various forms of addiction.

6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Basic knowledge of computing and the ability to keep accurate records.

8. A clean, current UK driving licence can be beneficial.
