Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are actively seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Recovery Worker to join our highly reputable institution in Cambridge, UK. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing support to individuals on their road to recovery from addiction or mental health conditions.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one support, counselling and guidance to individuals working towards recovery.
2. Facilitate and conduct group therapy sessions and recovery programs.
3. Develop personalised recovery plans in alignment with the clients’ needs and goals.
4. Liaise with healthcare professionals and clients’ family members to ensure consistent support and communication.
5. Monitor and document clients’ progress and adjust recovery plans as needed.
6. Provide support in crisis situations and deescalate potentially harmful situations.
7. Educate clients on available community resources and support systems.
8. Stay updated on the latest trends, methodologies, and best practices in the field of recovery.
9. Uphold all confidentiality and data protection protocols.
Qualifications:
1. A degree in social work, psychology, counselling or a relevant field is required.
2. Previous experience in a recovery role or similar position.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Familiarity with the recovery processes related to mental health conditions and substance abuse.
5. Ability to work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
6. High resilience, patience, and emotional stability.
7. Certification in First Aid and CPR is advantageous.
8. Must be willing to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
