Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker in Hillingdon for a position focused on supporting individuals on their recovery path from mental health and substance abuse issues. This role involves working directly with individuals, providing one-to-one support, encouragement, and advice.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and support clients on their personal recovery journey, helping them to develop their own personal recovery plans.

• Provide structured psychological and emotional support to clients.

• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive recovery service.

• Motivate and engage clients in activities that promote recovery.

• Maintain up-to-date records of client progress and ensure confidentiality is maintained.

• Liaise with other agencies and services to ensure appropriate referral and coordination of care.

• Educate clients and their families about recovery and available resources.

• Organize and lead group therapy sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare or social work, preferably in a mental health or substance use setting.

• Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to providing compassionate care for clients.

• Understanding of the challenges that people face on the path to recovery.

• Ability to provide structure and routine, and to motivate and inspire clients.

• Excellent record-keeping skills and integrity in handling confidential information.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
