Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Recovery Worker to join our team in Greenwich, UK. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to recovery from mental health, substance abuse, or other forms of addiction.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with individuals, understanding their needs, fears, and aspirations to tailor recovery plans for them.

2. Facilitate individual and group sessions, focusing on various aspects of recovery.

3. Provide constant supervision, motivation, and support to people dealing with mental health and addiction issues.

4. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, therapists, and medical professionals to help guide individuals towards recovery.

5. Evaluate and monitor the progress of individuals and adapt their recovery plans as necessary.

6. Maintain detailed case notes and records, ensuring all information is up to date and accessible.

7. Contribute to reviews of the recovery process, participating in discussions with the wider care team.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Relevant degree in social work, psychology, or related field.

2. Previous experience in a recovery worker role or similar.

3. Experience dealing with substance abuse recovery, mental health recovery, and/or similar health sectors.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to demonstrate empathy and maintain professional boundaries.

6. Strong understanding of the recovery process and associated challenges.

7. Right to work in the UK is essential.
