Recovery Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a Recovery Worker for an immediate start in Newham, UK. The ideal candidate will work to provide person-centered care, assisting individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders and mental health diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide support to individuals in their recovery journey, assisting them in their effort to regain control over their lives.

2. Develop tailored recovery plans to meet specific needs, identifying goals and providing therapeutic interventions.

3. Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as clinicians, therapists, and counsellors to provide a multidisciplinary approach to recovery.

4. Lead and facilitate recovery-focused groups and workshops to foster a sense of community and mutual support.

5. Monitor and document the progress of service users to ensure effectiveness of recovery plans and make adjustments as needed.

6. Conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all service users.

7. Provide crisis intervention and emotional support when necessary.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience working as a Recovery Worker or similar role within a healthcare or social work setting.

2. Relevant qualifications in social care, counselling, mental health, or related field.

3. Strong understanding of confidentiality issues and guidelines.

4. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to establish trust and rapport with service users.

5. Sound knowledge of substance abuse disorders, mental health diagnoses, and the recovery process.

6. Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with other professionals.

7. Excellent organisational and time management skills.

8. Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours if required.

9. Must have the right to work in the UK.
