Senior Dependency & Recovery Coordinator

Seven Criminal Justice are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Senior Dependency & Recovery Coordinator based in Brighton, UK. The focus of this role is to provide comprehensive recovery support for individuals struggling with substance misuse or dependency issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement robust recovery plans for each client to address their specific needs.

2. Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and family members to develop holistic care plans.

3. Provide ongoing social and emotional support to clients during recovery.

4. Monitor clients’ progress and adjust their recovery plans as needed.

5. Facilitate access to necessary resources such as rehabilitation centres, support groups, and educational programs.

6. Create and implement aftercare plans to prevent relapse, and manage crises if they arise.

7. Document and report on clients’ progress regularly.

8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community resources and local agencies.

9. Participate in staff meetings, trainings and supervisions as required.

10. Adhere to data protection regulations and confidentiality guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

1. Must hold a degree in human services, health sciences, social work or related field.

2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in substance abuse recovery management, with significant experience in a leadership role.

3. Proficient understanding of the complexities of substance abuse and the dependency recovery process.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

5. The ability to empathise with, motivate and advocate for individuals in varying stages of recovery.

6. Strong organization and case management skills.

7. Familiarity with data entry and report preparation.

8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.

9. The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
