Sexual Health Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated and caring Sexual Health Nurse to join our team in Whitechapel. The successful candidate will provide high-quality sexual health services to a diverse range of patients, delivering care, advice, and procedures within a combination of clinic and community settings.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide high standard health care that includes, but is not limited to, sexual and reproductive health checks, STI testing, contraceptive advice, and HIV prevention.

2. Conduct health promotion activities focusing on prevention and education concerning sexual health matters.

3. Offer support and counseling to patients with sexual health concerns, including unplanned pregnancies, sexual dysfunction, STIs, and sexual assault.

4. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other health and social care professionals to provide comprehensive care.

5. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, complying with the data protection act and NHS information governance guidelines.

6. Stay updated with current trends, research, policies, and practices in sexual and reproductive health.

7. Play a key role in public health initiatives, which may involve delivering talks or running clinics in schools, colleges, or community centers.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

1. Fully qualified and registered nurse with valid NMC pin.

2. Experience in sexual or reproductive health care would be preferred.

3. Confident in handling sensitive or potentially distressing situations with a high degree of empathy and professionalism.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.

6. An understanding of, and commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.

7. Willingness to participate in ongoing training, professional development and supervision.
