Sexual Health Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sexual Health Nurse to join our healthcare team in London. This position involves providing care and support to patients who are dealing with sexual health concerns. The successful candidate should have a deep knowledge about various sexual health issues, risk prevention and STI treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide confidential advice, care and treatment to patients with sexual health issues.

2. Carry out testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.

3. Provide contraceptive advice and fitting long-acting reversible contraceptive methods.

4. Provide counselling and support to patients undergoing treatments or dealing with concerns related to their sexual health.

5. Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients with sexual health issues.

6. Provide educational sessions and workshops on sexual health to increase patient’s awareness.

7. Maintain up-to-date patient records, respecting confidentiality and privacy rules as per the UK healthcare policies.

8. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in sexual health, to provide the highest standard of care.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.

2. Extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health nursing.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to handle sensitive matters with a high degree of professionalism.

5. High level of empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.

6. In-depth knowledge of contraception methods and STI treatments.

7. Certification in Sexual Health and/or Public Health (desirable).

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team, dedicated to improving the sexual health and wellbeing of patients. We provide a starting salary of £30 per hour and an opportunity for professional development.
