Substance Misuse Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join our treatment services team in Brighton, UK. This role focuses on providing high-quality patient care as part of a healthcare team working with individuals affected by substance misuse.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver patient-centred care and substance misuse treatment interventions in a non-judgmental manner.
2. Assess the health and wellbeing of service users presenting for drug and alcohol-related issues.
3. Develop and review individualized care plans based on client needs and ensuring these plans are properly implemented.
4. Provide harm reduction advice and support, needle exchange, and overdose management.
5. Offer health promotion and health education to clients and their families.
6. Collaborate with multi-agency teams and maintain good partnerships with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support network for clients.
7. Keep precise and timely records, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
8. Attend training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills, and to maintain an up-to-date understanding of substance misuse.
Qualifications:
1. Registered Nursing Degree (RN) with active NMC registration.
2. Professional experience in substance misuse or related field.
3. Knowledge of the physical and mental health issues related to substance misuse.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
5. Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
6. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
7. Willing to undertake training and development as required by the role.
