Substance Misuse Nurse

Seven Resourcing, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency have a locum Substance Misuse Nurse role available.

Location: London

Shift Pattern: Full-time

Type of Contract: Locum

Hourly Rate: £30 – £40

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial health assessments and risk assessments, developing individual care and recovery plans.
• Provide specialist nursing advice and support to individuals, their families and carers.
• Undertake medication administration duties in accordance with best practice and company policies.
• Develop effective relationships with various internal and external professionals and organisations to ensure a collaborative, holistic approach to care.
• Deliver health promotion and harm reduction advice.
• Lead in the delivery of care and treatment for substance misuse clients.
• Undertake non-medical prescribing, under supervision as appropriate.
• Regular reporting to senior staff, contributing to continuous service improvement.

Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse:

• Relevant nursing qualification and an active NMC Registration
• Recent nursing experience within Substance Misuse, Substance Abuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol, Needle Exchange, or Recovery
