Substance Misuse Psychiatrist

Seven Criminal Justice are seeking for a dedicated and compassionate Substance Misuse Psychiatrist to join our interdisciplinary team. You will be directly involved in evaluating and managing patients with substance misuse disorders in our center.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide individualized care to patients struggling with addiction to substances such as alcohol, drugs, or other addictive substances.
2. Perform psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage the implementation of these plans.
3. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, therapists, and medical doctors to create a comprehensive care plan for each patient.
4. Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment programs accordingly.
5. Educate patients and their families about substance misuse disorders, treatment options, and how to manage symptoms.
6. Conduct regular meetings and communicate effectively with each member of the patient’s support team.
7. Keep detailed notes and records on patients’ treatment and progress.
Qualifications:
1. Certified as a Psychiatrist with substantial experience in substance misuse management.
2. Current license to practice medicine in the UK.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping addicts recover.
5. Ability to work effectively with patients from a variety of backgrounds.
6. Strong knowledge of ethical and medical law considerations related to patient care.
7. Must be aware of the cultural and societal implications of substance misuse.
