Substance Misuse Worker

Seven Criminal Justice are currently seeking an empathetic and dedicated Substance Misuse Worker to join our team in Kensington, UK. The candidate will work closely with individuals to help them recover from addiction or dependency on drugs or alcohol.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering one-to-one counselling and group-based recovery interventions.
2. Facilitating care planning, risk assessment, and risk management to meet client needs.
3. Providing advice and information on substance misuse, harm reduction, and related health and social issues.
4. Offering non-judgmental support, helping service users to access services to improve their health and wellbeing.
5. Collaborating with stakeholders, including health and social care professionals, to ensure the best care for clients.
6. Maintaining confidential client records, providing regular reports, and participating in ongoing training.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience in supporting people with substance misuse issues or a related area such as mental health, social care, or criminal justice.
2. A recognized professional qualification in health, social care, counselling, or psychosocial interventions would be desirable.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. A strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection practices.
5. The ability to work flexibly to respond to service user needs.
6. The ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
7. A strong commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities.
8. A clear DBS check.
9. Must possess authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
Please note that the salary is £20 per hour, and work hours are subject to client needs and service requirements.
