Area SENCo

Seven Resourcing are looking for an interim Area SENCo to work with the London Borough of Lambeth. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £269.38 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company). The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm. 

The role:

To deliver support to identified schools under direction from the Senior Strategic Area SENCo to enable them to improve the standard of teaching and learning for pupils and students with SEN within schools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with a wide range of professionals to ensure a joined up and inclusive approach to the needs of very young children.
• Enabling settings to implement appropriate strategies, which promote inclusion and improve children’s learning
• Providing specialist advice, guidance, and support for Early Years settings in planning, development, organisation & transitions for children with additional needs.
• Delivering interventions within settings to model best practice
• Promoting and developing a greater understanding of inclusion within the borough, through parent/professional support and training.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

University Degree at grade 2:2 or above.

Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role. 

Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and references covering the last 2 years. 

Hours: 35 hours p/w.
