Learning Support Assistant

Seven Resourcing are looking for a number of Learning Support Assistants to work in Spalding, Lincolnshire. These positions are initially for a period of 3 months and there are contracts available for 8, 16, 24 or 32 hours per week. The hourly rate is £11.39 (PAYE) or £13.87 (umbrella) per hour. 

The role:

To work with individual young people having special or particular needs, in accordance with their Education, Health and Care Plan where appropriate and/or groups of young people as directed by the tutor and/or the provision manager.  To keep support records and input into reviews about individual learners. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learners with special or particular needs 
  • Promote progression and learning (emotional, educational and social).  Foster growth, confidence building and independence, observe and record progress
  • Manage challenging learner behaviour, with the support of colleagues
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities, and in the delivery of sessions
  • Participate in the preparation of the classroom
  • Monitor the needs and progression of the young person/people supporting and report to designated person
  • Be familiar with the Support Plans of all learners supporting and if the Education, Health and Care Plans of those who have them
  • Keep records as required by YPLP
  • Act in accordance with YPLP policies and procedures and relevant legislation, particularly in relation to safeguarding and behaviour management
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the overall purpose of the job

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

      N/A. 

Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role. 

Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 2 x references. 

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: Flexible.
