Seven Education is looking for  Lunchtime Teaching Assistants to join the college team in Merton.  The ideal candidate must be available for a minimum of 3 days.

This role pays £13.36 with the working hours being Tuesday to Friday 11am – 3pm (there is flexibility with hours).

The role is to cover the Tutors and Learning Coaches whilst on their breaks. The role will also require the candidate to support SEN learners during the lunchtime.

The role

To support and mentor learners with social, emotional and mental health needs, a disability, learning difficulty or medical condition; and or with ESOL, English and Maths support needs to enable them to successfully complete their qualifications, course and where appropriate, education, health and care plan (EHCP) outcomes.
a) Providing each learner with the support needed to carry out their learning effectively.
b) Implementing and delivering support as directed by Lead Professionals, lecturers and other relevant professionals.
c) Implementing agreed individual programmes of support for learners to enable them to achieve qualification aims, develop independence, enhance progression opportunities and progress towards EHCP outcomes.
d) Safeguard learners and promote their well-being in all aspects of their learning.

Requirements

• Good literacy and note taking skills to support learners up to level 3 – diserable
• Able to work flexibly throughout the week by prior agreement
• Willingness to support people physically, with their personal care and medication needs following training
• Evidence of commitment to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
