Seven Education is looking for an Student Support Note-taker for the Belfast Metropolitan College
To act as an educational note-taker to produce notes on behalf of students with disabilities who are studying a range of courses at Belfast Met.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce accurate, clear, accessible, and appropriately detailed notes for students in the required format;
Attend lectures, tutorials and other classes and take notes as requested.
Prepare for classes using resources available and to engage in appropriate research to familiarise yourself with subjects and/or to identify specialised vocabulary.
Provide an accurate copy of the notes to students within an agreed time limit, normally 48 hours.
Make any necessary reasonable adjustments to ensure support is delivered in an accessible manner as directed.
Completed and return all relevant paperwork for each support relationship in a timely and accurate manner.
- To contribute to the achievement of the College’s mission, values, and strategic directions.
Participate in the Colleges performance appraisal system.
Participate in College developments, attend internal and external meetings and training programmes required.
Adhere to general standards of conduct embodied in College policies.
To implement and embed the College’s equality and diversity policies and respond to its equality and diversity duties as they relate to all stakeholders.
Act, if directed as fire marshal or warden.
- Carry out, if directed, the role of first aider.
To undertake such other relevant duties as may be reasonably expected of the post holder.
