Supply Science Teacher

Seven Resourcing are looking for a Supply Science Teacher to work at a childrens home in Exeter. This role will involve working around 4 hours per week (8.20am – 12.20pm) – day to be confirmed but possible Tues or Fri morning. This role is initially for a period of 3 months and the hourly rate is £19.92 (paid to you via an umbrella company). 

The role:

Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school’s schemes of work.

Work with teaching assistants and the SENCO.

Set work for students during planned absences from school.

Demonstrate good practice in the teaching areas of responsibility.

Produce and update departmental policies, schemes of work and lesson plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record students’ work.
• Mark and return work within agreed time span, providing feedback and targets.
• Provide assessment reports to monitor student progress.
• Liaise with professionals from other agencies and attend review meetings.
• Work within the Code of Practice relating to Special Educational Needs, as instructed by the SENCO.
• Ensure the efficient administration of a programme of student assessment and feedback.
• Ensure the accurate and up to date records of student achievement and attendance are kept with the subject areas.
• Ensure adherence to relevant Health and Safety regulations in the subject areas.
• Provide subject area statistics as required for the whole school tracking system.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

University Degree at grade 2:2 or above.

Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate experience as a Teacher in the UK.

Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and 2 x references. 

Hours:  4 hours p/w.
