Tutor/Assessor (Functional Skills)

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Tutor/Assessor to work in Hull. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £33.71 (PAYE) or £42.00 (umbrella) per hour. The working hours are 8:30am – 5:30pm from Monday – Friday. 

The role:

To assist in the planning and delivery of occupational skills training to N.V.Q./ VRQ standard and assist in the delivery of Key/Functional skills and technical certificates as directed, assessing and reviewing learner’s progress and maximizing the use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.
  • Assist in ensuring that the vocational area provides a high quality and efficient service which meets the needs of learners and makes full and proper use of available resources in accordance with Funding Body contracts and awarding body requirements.
  • Teach, Train, supervise and develop learners to ensure their working practices meet with approved standards in order that they gain nationally recognized qualifications and the skills and expertise that will enable them to enhance their employment prospects.
  • Deliver quality training to ensure the section meets its retention and achievement targets.
  • Undertake assessment of learners as specified by the relevant awarding bodies and monitor and review learner’s progress, providing support guidance and counselling as appropriate.
  • Assist in organising the control of resources to ensure all stock and equipment is secure, serviceable and regularly accounted for.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

      University Degree at grade 2:2 or above.

Experience: 1+ year of experience within a similar role. 

Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS and references covering the last 5 years. 

Hours: 37 hours p/w.
