Community Psychiatric Nurse

Seven Healthcare are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our mental health team in East Sussex. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive mental health nursing care and support to patients in community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing overall nursing care for individuals struggling with mental health issues, including psychiatric disorders and substance abuse problems.

2. Developing personalized care plans under the guidance of community mental health teams.

3. Conducting regular patient visits to offer support, monitor condition, administer medication and update care plans as necessary.

4. Liaising with doctors, therapists, social workers and family members to provide coordinated services.

5. Managing crisis intervention services in case of urgent mental health situations.

6. Conducting wellness recovery action planning and facilitating support groups.

7. Educating patients and their families about mental health and providing strategies for managing mental disorders.

8. Complying with all standards, policies, and guidelines set forth by National Health Service.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a qualified mental health nurse with valid NMC registration.

2. Previous experience in community-based mental health service delivery is preferred.

3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other relevant laws and regulations.

5. The ability to build trust and rapport with patients.

6. The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

7. A clean UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
