Healthcare Assistant

Seven Healthcare are seeking to recruit a passionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team in a thriving healthcare environment in Bournemouth, UK. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding patient care and be deeply committed to the wellbeing and security of our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Assisting qualified professionals in delivering quality healthcare to patients.

2. Providing personal and practical support to patients, including activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mealtime assistance.

3. Performing basic clinical duties such as taking and recording vital signs – temperature, blood pressure, pulse, etc.

4. Helping healthcare professionals during physical examinations and medical procedures.

5. Maintaining patients’ dignity and confidentiality at all times.

6. Assisting with patient mobility and arranging or aiding in patient transport when necessary.

7. Ensuring a clean and safe environment at all times in compliance with infection control protocols.

8. Developing and maintaining effective communication and information systems with all team members.

9. Participating in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities as directed.

10. Documenting and reporting any change in patients’ health status to the relevant healthcare professional.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a healthcare assistant role is preferred.

2. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable.

3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

5. Ability to work effectively and productively within a team.

6. Enhanced DBS check.

7. Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
