Seven Resourcing is seeking a Lighting Manager to join our team in Islington for an initial 2-month contract, with the potential for extension. This exciting role offers a competitive daily rate of £283.26 via umbrella and £214.20 via PAYE, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. What you will do:
– Manage the streetlighting PFI contract, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of routine and non-routine maintenance.
– Lead the production, development, and review of contracts, technical specifications, and tendering processes from inception through to post-implementation reviews.
– Spearhead energy reduction projects in public lighting, including LED replacements.
– Deliver high-quality lighting designs for diverse traffic schemes and new developments.
– Oversee lighting requirements at pedestrian crossings to enhance public safety.
– Facilitate equipment use such as electric vehicle connections and CCTV installations on the Council’s infrastructure.
– Ensure lighting levels across the borough meet regulatory standards, implementing changes as necessary.
– Design and implement the annual festive lighting programme.
– Utilize AUTOCAD and specialist lighting packages for innovative lighting solutions.
– Project manage lighting schemes from inception to design, with financial oversight ensuring value for money.
– Engage proactively with residents and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of lighting improvements.

Essential Criteria:
Applicants should possess a degree or equivalent qualification in electrical/engineering, with a proven track record in managing street lighting and electrical assets. Experience at a senior level in contract processes, from initial specification to final accounts, is crucial.
