Registered Mental Health Nurse

Seven Healthcare are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse for a healthcare facility based in Marlow, UK. The successful candidate will utilise their skills and knowledge in mental health nursing to contribute positively to the mental health services of our institution. This role is key in our commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and respectful environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess, plan and implement care plans for patients under the Mental Health Act.

2. Manage and administer medication and therapeutic interventions.

3. Provide a high standard of care to people with mental and general health needs.

4. Monitor patient vital signs, engage therapeutic practices and support the medical team in daily routines.

5. Provide support and education to patients and their families, promoting mental health and wellbeing.

6. Communicate effectively with patients to understand their condition and build trust.

7. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and liaise with other professional bodies as needed.

8. Practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

9. Remain updated with the advancements in mental health, medications, treatments and wellbeing.

10. Maintain patient records diligently with high accuracy.

Qualifications:

1. Current NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse.

2. Degree or equivalent qualification in Mental Health Nursing.

3. Proven experience in providing high-quality nursing care in mental health.

4. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and latest nursing practices.

5. Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centred care.

6. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

7. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

8. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
