Senior Occupational Therapist

Seven Social Care are seeking a highly experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Peterborough, UK. The successful candidate will be integral in contributing to the growth and development of our services, bringing extensive knowledge and experience in occupational therapy.
Responsibilities:
1. Evaluation, assessment, and treatment of patients with varying disabilities.
2. Creation and implementation of individualized treatment plans to improve patients’ functionality and independence.
3. Collaboration with doctors, nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
4. Leading, mentoring, and guiding junior occupational therapists and support staff.
5. Assisting patients and their families in understanding, coping with, and managing conditions.
6. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
2. Must be fully registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior or lead role within an Occupational Therapy setting.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
5. Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a supportive and collaborative environment.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively and professionally handle challenging situations.
7. Experience with various types of patient populations, including geriatric, pediatric, neurological, orthopedic conditions, and disabilities.
