Senior Occupational Therapist

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated, experienced, and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hammersmith & Fulham, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients, supporting their physical, mental, and social well-being, and helping them to lead independent and satisfying lives.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate the physical condition, lifestyle needs, emotional health, and capacity of patients to carry out daily activities.

2. Develop therapy plans and take part in implementing tailored treatment programs that enable patients to improve their autonomy and physical functioning.

3. Train team members and caregivers on necessary home exercise programs and monitor their progress.

4. Adjust interventions as necessary to make sure patients are progressing and meeting their individual treatment goals.

5. Actively collaborate with other healthcare professionals and contribute in multidisciplinary meetings to meet the complex needs of patients.

6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in occupational therapy and incorporate new techniques into treatment plans.

7. Uphold ethical, professional, and quality standards during the service delivery.

8. Write patient reports and keep accurate records of patient intervention and progress.

9. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

2. Certified registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. Significant experience in a health or social care setting, preferably in a senior or leadership role.

4. Excellent understanding of the principles and practices of occupational therapy.

5. Profound ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

6. High stamina, creativity, and patient to handle various tasks.

7. Proficient in using computer software (e.g., MS Office), healthcare databases, and professional literature.

8. Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Working hours will typically be between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday, though some flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of our patients.
