Sexual Health Nurse

Seven Criminal Justice is looking for a Sexual Health Nurse to work tithin the Whitechapel, London area. 

The role requires 37.5 hours per week and is paying up to £42,099.48 per annum. 

About the role: 

·         Undertake STI testing and the initial contraception assessment, advice, and regular reviews to ensure the most appropriate and effective method of contraception is undertaken and offered

·         Provide contraception including long-acting reversable contraception (LARC) when appropriate and work in partnership with the local provider to ensure the service users’ needs are met

·         Support care co-ordinators with case management of individuals who are at risk of STI’s and family planning issues

·         Lead on partnership work with the local Sexual Health Provider and the respective Sexual Health clinics

·         Offer health promotion and harm reduction advice, screening and vaccinations including blood borne viruses, alongside other clinical and psychosocial interventions

·         Develop and provide health education especially regarding the sexual health of our service users

Requirements:

·         First level registered nurse with recent relevant post qualification experience and a current PIN 

·         Relevant recent experience of working within Sexual Health 

·         Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written  reports, as necessary 

·         Clinical auditing skills to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development 

·         Employ a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards  service users and all stakeholders 

·         An understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with service users, peers, and other relevant professionals
