Specialised Occupational Therapist

Seven Social Care are looking for several Highly Specialist Occupational Therapists in Kingston, Surrey. This post is required until the end of term, 5 days per week.

 

The role:

 

The position is based a non- residential   further  education centre for young adults from 16-25. Learns have moderate to severe learning disabilities and may have Autism, behaviours of concern or complex needs. You will become a part of the therapies team and work alongside Speech and Language Therapists and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

      To lead, develop and co-ordinate the development and delivery of a high quality Occupational Therapy service within the High Needs departments across the STCG sites.

Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of professional standards for Occupational Therapy and ensures implementation within own and those supervising practice including the development and monitoring of Occupational Therapy team project areas.

Develops and maintains accurate and timely records in accordance with the college quality standards, completing occupational therapy provision audits, therapy observations and skills audit.

Supports, innovates and develops the Occupational Therapy provision in collaboration with Head of Therapies, in order to promote and improve supported work based learning and progression opportunities for learners with complex needs.

Undertake line management, clinical supervision, mentoring and support for members of the Occupational therapy team across the High Needs departments as required to support high quality service delivery.

Applicant Requirements:

 

Qualifications: Occupational Therapy

Experience: 2+ years working as an Occupational Therapist.

Compliance: Up to date DBS, HCPC Registration, proof of right to work, reference check.

Travel:  Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
