1st Line Support Partner

Seven Resourcing are looking for a 1st Line Support Partner to work in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

This role is paying £10.90 per hour and is on an initial 4-month contract.

JOB PURPOSE

To provide a single point of contact for users of IS services on a day-to-day basis. To own and manage IS incidents and service requests, providing effective communication, to restore normal-state service operation to users as quickly as possible and deliver IS services at the agreed levels.

Responsibilities/requirements-

Knowledge of the organisations business areas, drivers, structure, and priorities.

Previous experience of working on a large IS service desk and providing 1st line IS support >5000 users in a predominantly Microsoft environment.

Strong typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of incidents and service requests.

Apart from a responsibility for your own health, safety, and welfare, ensure that staff under your supervision perform their duties with due regard to the Group’s Health and Safety Policy, Procedures and Safe Systems of Work, in a safe working environment.

To undertake any further duties as requested by your Line Manager commensurate with the level of your post.

Log all relevant incidents, service request and other call details; allocate appropriate categorisation and prioritisation codes.

Provide 1st line investigation and diagnosis for all service desk calls.

Resolve incidents and service requests during the first point of contact whenever possible.

Escalate incidents and service requests that cannot be resolved according to defined escalation procedures and within agreed timescales.

Proactively keep users informed of progress of logged incidents and service requests.

Close all resolved incidents and service requests according to defined policies and procedures.

Requirements-

3 years’ experience

Driving license (preferred)
