Seven Social Care is currently seeking several Accommodation Support Worker’s to join our client’s team in Manchester. This is an interim post initially for 6 months.

You will be working to support families and single people whilst in temporary accommodation to assist them to be rehoused into permanent accommodation. They will support families with any issues that arise whist in T/A for example with benefits, school places, utility bills.

Responsibilities:

Conducting initial assessments to determine individuals’ housing needs and develop tailored support plans.

Assisting individuals in accessing appropriate and sustainable accommodation options.

Providing guidance and support in navigating the housing application process and engaging with relevant housing agencies.

Delivering key life skills workshops, including budgeting, tenancy management, and maintaining a safe living environment.

Supporting individuals in developing and maintaining positive relationships with landlords and neighbours.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, working with individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.

Compliance: Up to date enhanced DBS on the update service, Right to work in the UK.

Hours: Monday to Friday 36 hours a week – hybrid working and outreach role

Travel: Full UK driving license with own vehicle.
