Adult Services Training Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Adult Services Training Officer to work in Cardiff. This position is initially for a period of 4 months and is paying £21.82 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).
The role:
To be responsible for assessing the training and development needs of Adult Services employees, to implement training strategies, and track training progress and impact.
To work with the Business Support Manager in the Central Training Team in Adult Services to commission external trainers.
To design and deliver custom training programmes including E-Learning platforms that meet the training and development needs of Adult Services teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify training and development needs within Adult Services through workforce planning processes, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with Adult Services managers and management teams and Human Resources as appropriate – ensuring that statutory/mandatory training requirements are met.
To design and deliver training and development programmes based on the needs of Adult Services and the individual, including the production of training materials for in-house courses using classroom, online and blended learning
Work in a team to contribute to the production of the annual training plan that is satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation, such as individuals, line managers, senior managers and Social Care Wales
Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets
Plan and assess the impact and outcomes of training or development programmes
Lead on the development, coordination and delivery of effective induction programmes for new staff.
Undertake an annual training needs analysis with teams, taking into consideration feedback from annual appraisals
Evaluate training and development programmes
Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
Assist the OM to support line managers and commissioned trainers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: Social Work Qualification.
- Experience: 1+ year of post-graduate experience within a similar role.
- Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check and references covering the last 5 years.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
